Girls Philly Showcase Camp, for elite 2016s, 2017s and 2018s, presented by Nike Lacrosse and hosted by NXTsports, July 14-16, Westtown School’s picturesque campus. Syracuse University assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Regy Thorpe headlines the Camp as its director. Thorpe has been a driving force in helping Gary Gait’s Orange earn the current No. 2 spot in the IWLCA Coaches Poll. He’ll be joined by coaches from Brown, Colorado, Marquette, Michigan, Saint Joseph’s, Vermont, Virginia Tech and Franklin & Marshall. F&M is currently ranked No. 5 in the Division III IWLCA Coaches Poll. The Camp’s final staff members are being finalized and will feature a total of 12-14 lead instructors. Campers will benefit from a low, optimal player-to-head coach ratio, and will also learn from the many current college players serving as assistant instructors. The Philly Showcase Camp combines exposure opportunities with an education focus that aims to emulate the life of a Division I player. Campers will go through three days of college-style practices and games in addition to positional clinics, a recruiting seminar, off-field training sessions and a classroom experience in order to improve each camper’s skills beyond simply game situations. To register to the Girls Philly Showcase Camp, visit showcaselacrosse.com and email Brett Manney at email@example.com.
