Wissahickon HS is searching for a Boys’ Varsity Head Lacrosse Coach for the 2014-15 school year. Coach only position; there is no teaching position linked to the coaching job but the coaching position is a paid position. Ideally, the candidate played both HS and college lacrosse and has previous coaching experience at the HS level. Candidates must have an excellent working knowledge of coaching all aspects of lacrosse including all PIAA rules; should have experience working with high school athletes in a school setting and be able to work with other sports using shared facilities. The Wissahickon High School boys’ varsity team is coming off one of its most successful seasons in history. 15-5 overall record with a first round win in the PIAA playoffs. Wilson High School, Asst. Coach (Varsity/JV)
Wilson High School, in West Lawn, PA is searching for an outgoing assistant boys’ lacrosse coach to complete our coaching staff for the 2014-2015 season. Applicants should have prior college playing experience and strong lacrosse knowledge.
The Wilson School District has an enrollment of 1,900 students in grades 9-12 and competes in the Berks County Interscholastic Athletic League and the PIAA District 3. The Wilson School District has outstanding facilities including two newly completed turf stadiums. The program is competitive at the County, District and State level, having lost in the District 3 Finals and PIAA State Quarter Finals in 2013 & 2014. This year’s team returns a majority of its players. Wilson also runs a successful youth feeder program grades K-8.
The coach’s primary responsibilities are assisting with team and player development to continue Wilson’s rich athletic tradition of teaching, enforcing and modeling character traits through discipline, sportsmanship, and community involvement. This is a paid, coaching-only position. Experience with using Hudl, breaking down film and reviewing with the team are preferred but not required.
