There are still spots open for this summer’s Philly Face-Off League, featuring the top face-off players in the Philly region.
Directors are also launching a new Middle School league starting this summer. The Middle School League is open to any rising 5-8th grade midfielder who is interested in gaining more experience and becoming quicker at the face-off position.
In order to be a part of the league you must have at least one year of experience facing-off at a high level for your school or club team. This league is not for beginners! This is an IDEAL clinic for face-off guys who want to compete against other quality face-off players for 90 minutes while receiving individualized instruction.
Players in the league should already be able to demonstrate the proper faceoff stance and body language in order to compete. This is a great way to come out and gain amazing experience against local players who will all be facing off for their school or club teams in the spring and summer.
The Philadelphia Face-Off League is run by John Bodnar (Episcopal Academy, NXT Lacrosse) and Mike Dolente (Cabrini College, Dukes). They both have an extensive background in working with some of the best face-off players in the area and are asking for more guys to compete.
The first practice is on Tuesday, June 3rd at Radnor Memorial Park in Wayne. The Middle School practice will run from 4-5:30 p.m. and the High School Practice is 5:30-7. Anybody interested in joining should e-mail John Bodnar at email@example.com.
The only way a face-off guy gets better is when they are constantly getting reps against guys who are just as fast and quick as they are! Take advantage of this opportunity and sign up now!
