Registration is open for the LB3 Preseason Positional Clinic, a special two-day training experience March 1-2 at The Shipley School that features some of the biggest names in lacrosse coaching.

Hosted by Shipley Lacrosse and Headed by LB3 founder and former Syracuse All-American Liam Banks, the clinic – for youth through high school aged players – also features former Syracuse and pro superstar Casey Powell as well as many head coaches from the area.

The goal of the LB3 clinic is to deliver a unique and fun training experience and to develop individual players. LB3 Lacrosse programs enhance and encourage lacrosse specific skills and teach players how to implement these skills in game situations. All players from any club program and any region are welcome.

“We want to make sure kids’ skills are in place for the (high school and youth) season tryouts,” said Banks, who recently announced the partnership with Powell and his training company. “We are thrilled that Casey is coming. He is incredibly dynamic and brings a whole new dynamic. He brings it to another level for Philly.”

On Saturday the LB3 coaches will focus on positional-specific skill building by breaking the groups into attack, middies, defense and goaltending. On Sunday, Powell will lead the drills on scoring and stick skills.

“He is going to teach kids how to be an effective scorer. He’ll do on-ball, off-ball, pick and switch and other skills. He is always talking about stick skills and how to develop them the best you can. Casey doesn’t want to teach kids how to shoot; he wants to teach them how to score!”

Player development is arguably the most important and least emphasized component in the game of lacrosse today. LB3 structures scenarios that bring players to new levels of playmaking with up-tempo play, ball movement, stick work and drills that improve lacrosse IQ.

The tempo and skills of LB3 practices/clinics resemble those of Division I lacrosse, giving players an intense experience. Our highly qualified Elite staff of professional coaches will utilize this clinic to train and coach all players to help give them the keys to success.

The clinics are open to any boy, no matter the club affiliation, in Grades 3 through 12.lb3-shipley
