The top four teams in the Boys’ Rankings held their spot this week. Here are the rankings:

1. Malvern Prep (9-0) Prev: No. 1- The Friars keep rolling; they host Springside Chestnut hill Academy Tuesday in the Inter-Ac League.

2. Haverford School (6-2) Prev: No. 2- The Fords have overcome a lot of injuries. They play Tuesday at Penn Charter and host California’s La Costa Canyon Saturday in their Checking for Cancer tourney.

3. Salesianum School (2-1) Prev: No. 3- The Sals host California power La Costa Canyon on Thursday and play Chatham Saturday at Checking for Cancer.Boys-Rankings-logo1

4. Avon Grove (4-1) Prev: No. 4- The Red Devils play Tuesday at Spring-Ford, coached by Devils head coach Eric Jackson’s good friend and former West Chester University teammate Kevin Donnelly.

5. Bishop Shanahan (4-0) Prev: No. 6- The Eagles play at No. 15 Great Valley Tuesday in a key Ches-Mont League game.

6. Penncrest (7-0) Prev: No. 7- The Lions have Central League games this week at Ridley (Tuesday) and Lower Merion (Thursday).

7. Springfield-Delco (4-1) Prev: No. 8- The Cougars host Garnet Valley Thersday.

8. Conestoga (4-2) Prev: No. 5 – The Pioneers have a key Central League game Tuesday at home vs. Radnor.

9. Central Bucks East (6-2) Prev: No. 9- The Patriots play Saturday at No. 4 Avon Grove.

10. Downingtown East (3-2) Prev: No. 10- The Cougars have played a very tough first five games. It should prepare them for the middle part of the schedule.

11. St. Joseph’s Prep (3-2) Prev: No. 11- The Hawks also have had a rough non-league schedule. Let’s face it, it all builds to the regular-season game May 1 at La Salle.

12. Radnor (5-1) Prev: No. 14- The Raiders look to remain undefeated in the Central League when they host Conestoga Tuesday – these teams tied for the title last year.

13. La Salle (1-3) Prev: No. 13- The Explorers are not scoring a lot of goals, but showing great strengths on defense, in goal and at the face-off X.

14. Manheim Township (7-0) Prev: NR- The Blue Streaks again look like the classof District 3.

15. Great Valley (6-1) Prev: NR- The Patriots host No. 5 Bishop Shanahan Tuesday in a key Ches-Mont League game.

Under consideration: Abington (3-2), Episcopal Academy (1-6); Garnet Valley (3-3),Germantown Academy (3-2), Hatboro-Horsham (4-2), St. Augustine Prep (4-2), Shawnee (2-0), Spring-Ford (5-1), Upper Dublin (3-2), Wilson West Lawn (6-0).
