For the seventh straight year, the Penncrest Boys High School Lacrosse team worked in conjunction with the Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association to clean up and work on the trails at Louis Scott Park in Upper Providence Township.
Louis Scott Park was named in memory of Lou Scott, a popular Penncrest principal who served in that position for 30 years. The team moved thousands of pounds of mulch over miles of trails, improving the park’s walkways for its visitors.
Team members included Devan Sloane, Cody Hershock, Robert Logan, Casey Brown, Greyson Nelson, Zach Granger, Dylan McCleaft, Billy Kinnard, Will Manganiello, Rob Klodarska, Dylan Protesto, Kevin Delaney, Liam O’Donnell, Colin Speer, Ryan Schultz, Zach Groses, Ian McKernan, Zach Kaut, Kasta Pahides, Alex Bonnett, Ryan Granger, Max Fishman, Brett Chominski, Ryan Kinnard, and Ethan Trusty. The event was coordinated by LeeAnn Trusty. Booster parents Jon Nelson and Bill O’Donnell are also pictured (Picture credit: Hope Kinnard).
Penncrest Lacrosse believes that community service is a critical part of its program, providing a way to give back to the community that supports the team and to honor a principal whose leadership established a profound legacy at Penncrest.
