Is your team the best in the country? There’s only one way to find out this summer.

The Philly Summer Invitational has quickly developed a reputation as one of the summer’s best team recruiting events. The sold-out event features teams comprised of players in graduation years 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. The 2015 division will play at Downingtown West High School, while the others will square off at United Sports in Downingtown.

“I’m very excited about this year’s field at the Philly Summer Invitational, especially since we’re expecting more than 100 college coaches,” Director of Showcase Lacrosse Brett Manney said. “There’s not a better place to be in the country this summer for teams who want to see how they stack up against North America’s best teams. We’ll have teams from 16 states and Canada, from as far west as Washington and as far south as Georgia.”

The NXT Cup featured 115 teams last year, a number that will grow to a sold-out 160 in its second edition. The tournament, which will feature teams from second grade to eighth grade, will be held primarily at Westtown School but will also feature games at Episcopal Academy and at the West Chester United soccer fields.

“It was great to see the NXT Cup do so well in its first year, but the growth of the tournament in both quantity and quality is just incredible to see,” Vice President, Events Robin Baxter said. “We focused on bringing in the best of the very best teams, teams that will come in from 13 states and Ontario, to ensure a high-quality tournament that teams will be proud to compete in.”
