Manhasset (N.Y.) 2017 goalie Brendan Haggerty has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Villanova University.

Why did you choose the school? “I chose Villanova because of its academics, campus life; and it really came down to where I was most comfortable as a student athlete.”

Outlook for 2015 HS season? “We are looking forward to another very competitive season at Manhasset.”

Other comments: “I want to thank my family, especially my Dad, who has put in countless hours in helping become the best goalie I can possibly be. I want to thank my coaches, especially Coach Powers, Coach DeSimone, Coach Licciardi, Coach Luzzi, Coach Cherry, and Coach O’Meara for all their help with my development and instruction throughout the recruiting process.
