Patrick Cowan log:

Patrick Cowan

Patrick Cowan

High School: Salesianum School, DE

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Midfield

College Choice: The Catholic University of America

Club Affiliations: Team 302, Team HeadStrong

Lacrosse Honors: State Champ 2013, Top 205

What will you major in/study? Accounting or Economics

Why did you choose Catholic? “I had visited the school many times, because my older brother, William Cowan, was a captain of the team in 2014.

“The two main reasons for my decision were based on academics and athletics. Catholic recently just established a business school, and has a strong group of professors as well as a solid group of alumni who have had great success in the business world.

“I got a chance to meet some of the players and coaches, and I believe the right changes are being made so Catholic will be able to contend for a Landmark Conference Championship.”

Outlook for 2015 HS season? “We are coming off a tough loss in last year’s state championship game, and we lost a great group of senior leaders. I believe we can fill the spots they left with the right attitude and work ethic.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my father and Uncle Dan for coaching me in Brandywine Youth Lacrosse Club.

“I would also like to thank my coaches at Salesianum Coach Healy and Coach Plews for helping to develop me in a more complete player.

“I would also like to thank Mr. Baldi for organizing the fall and winter leagues and being able to drive members of the team and me, to different games all around the Mid-Atlantic Region.

“Lastly I would like to thank my parents, brother, and sister for their continued support in helping me to become a better lacrosse player.”
