La Salle 2018 attackman Matthew Clibanoff has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at The Ohio State University.

Club affiliations: Dukes Lacrosse Club and Big 4

Lacrosse honors: Second place in U15 Nationals with Dukes Triple H, made Dukes Triple H as a seventh grader, made Duke’s Lacrosse Club as an eighth grader, voted a Dukes Lacrosse captain for 2018 team, Member of Triple H title team at Big 4 Fall Champions League

Intended major: Undecided

Why did you choose Ohio State? “When I stepped foot on Ohio States campus I knew right away this was a place for me. The coaching staff made me feel like I was at home. Also it’s just a huge plus that I will be attending Ohio state with my twin brother Michael.”

HS team’s outlook for 2015: “This up coming lacrosse season I feel very confident in our team. We lost a good amount of seniors, but there are going to multiple players to step right into there place. Our lacrosse season goal is to win the state championship and bring it back where it belongs.”

Other comments: “First, I would like to thank my mother and father for everything they have done for me. Most importantly I would like to thank them for raising me as a bright young man I am today. Next, I would like to thank Coach Ebe, Jason, Billy and Eric for coaching me for these past few years. I would like to give a special thanks to Coach Bob from the Horsham youth program. Also, a special thanks to Jake Durkin for helping me improve my game at such a young age.”
