Kennett High School junior defenseman Matt Petrick has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Drexel University.

Graduation Year: 2015
College Choice: Drexel University
Club Affiliation: Dukes LC

What will you major in/study? Biology
Why did you choose Drexel? “On my visit I liked the campus very much, and being in a city is something I always have wanted to experience. I also really like Coach Brian Voelker and how competitive the team is every year. And academically I felt Drexel had the most to offer me.”
Outlook for the HS season? “With some of our guys injured, and a new Head Coach, it looks to be a building year for us to reach our goal in the next several seasons to compete for a Ches-Mont title.”
Additional Comments: “I would first like to thank all my past and present coaches, especially Bob Allvord and Sean Tischler, for helping me grow as a person and player, and most importantly teaching the game of lacrosse to me.
“Secondly, I would like to thank Ebe Helm, Jason Christmas, and the rest of the Dukes coaching staff for their help in my development as an elite player, and for their help in the recruiting process.
“Most importantly, my family and friends for their continued love and support, especially my parents who have always been there for me and have driven me to where I am today.”
