The Haverford School freshman midfielder John Nostrant has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

What will you major in/study? Undecided/Business
Why did you choose PSU? “I was looking for a big school with great academics and athletics. Each time I stepped on campus I liked it more and more and felt more comfortable. The current coaching staff has elevated Penn State into a top ten lacrosse program and I am excited to be a part of their program.”
Outlook for your High School team? “We have a lot of young talent and should be very competitive again this year. We are apart of one of the toughest leagues in the country and we look forward to competing at the highest level every time we step on the field.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank coach Adam Mueller, Coach Mike McGuane, Coach Roddy Marino, and Coach Paul O’Grady who coached me with the Philadelphia Fever and Mesa Fresh. They taught me all the little things that have helped me succeed on and off the field.
“In addition, I would like to thank Coach Loving and Coach Petrone who have mentored me on and off the field throughout my life.
“Finally, I would like to thank my Mom and Dad for supporting me with this decision. I know I have a lot of hard work in front of me and I look forward to the challenges ahead.”
