Mesa Fresh Restaurants has become heavily involved in supporting lacrosse in the region through elite boys’ club teams, the recent launch of successful girls’ club teams and by partnering with the youth program Fever Lacrosse.
Mesa Fresh Lacrosse was founded in 2007 with the intent to showcase high school lacrosse players that are highly skilled, but also of high character. Mesa prides itself in utilizing the team game based on passing, transition and strong defense and teamwork. Players are selected based on game performance and contribution to their youth teams along with recommendations by area coaches. Mesa Fresh teams have helped lead many players to commit, play and excel at all college levels of lacrosse.
Mesa Fresh Mexican Grill was created in 2001 on a simple idea: Serve freshly prepared food with care and attention at affordable prices in a warm, friendly and festive environment. Since the inception of Mesa Fresh Lacrosse, its boys’ club teams have won some of the strongest high school field tournaments including Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions (2014s & 2015s), Lava Lax (2012s, 2015s & 2016s), Summer Sizzle (2012s), Battle of the Hotbeds (2010s), Lax Max (2010s & 2012s), Tri-States National Tournament (2013s & 2016s), Fall Uprising (2016s) and MVP Team Tournament (2010s, 2012s, 2013s, 2015s & 2016s).
Meanwhile, the Mesa Fresh BaggaGirls have won championships at St. Joseph’s University 4v4 (November 2014); Drexel Lax for Maggie 4v4 (October 2013); Lehigh University Women’s Lacrosse Summer Spectacular 7v7 (September 2013); University of Delaware 5v5 (September 2013); St. Joseph’s University Women’s Lacrosse 5v5 (March 2013); and the Villanova University Women’s Lacrosse 5v5 (March 2013).
