Pope John Paul II senior defenseman Michael Wynne has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Stevens Institute of Technology.

High school: Pope John Paul II
Graduation year: 2014
College choice: Stevens Institute of Technology
Club affiliations: 380 Lacrosse, Black Bear Lacrosse
Major lacrosse honors: (Junior) 2nd Team All PAC-10, Honorable Mention All Area, Brine NLC Pride of Pennsylvania Team
What will you major in/study: An area of Engineering
Why did you choose school: “I chose Stevens because it gives me a great opportunity to study at one of the top engineering schools in the country, while also allowing me to play for an extremely competitive lacrosse team.”
Outlook for your high school team: “Every year so far our team’s record has improved and this year our senior class wants to go out with a bang. So far there has been a lot of work put in over the off season and I am hoping that this will allow us to make our conference’s final four and maybe even districts.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank all of my lacrosse coaches throughout the years who have made me into the player I am today. I would especially like to thank Coach McMillen, Coach Kilpatrick, Coach Bildstein, and Coach Delvecchio. Also I’d like to thank Coach Slate at Laxevo for always keeping me in shape and helping me become a better player. Last I’d like to thank both of my parents for supporting me through the entire recruiting process and my entire lacrosse career.”
