What will you major in/study? Biochemistry

Why did you choose the school?
“Stanford is one of the top biological research universities in the country, and a perennial top 20 lacrosse team. I was looking for a school that could combine my love of both biology and lacrosse. When I visited Stanford, I fell in love with the campus. I thought the atmosphere on the team was a perfect fit for me. Coach Amy Bokker (Phoenixville graduate) is also one of the Women’s US National Lacrosse Team coaches. She’s a great coach so I know I’ll get the coaching that I need to succeed. As an added bonus, my good friend and Ultimate teammate Greta Meyers is committed there, too! I’m excited about the Stanford experience both in school and lacrosse.”

Thoughts on the season/outlook for next season?
“We’ve been steadily improving every season I’ve been at Wissahickon. This year, we made a huge jump and we were ranked higher than we have been in a long time. Our league got a lot tougher with powers like Hatboro and Abington joining, but we held our own and came in second in the league. We had a bunch of young talent this year, which bodes well for next year. Our senior leadership from Zoe Gomez (Hofstra) was what really kept us on track; I hope to do the same for my team next year.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank Michele (DJ) DeJuliis, who runs Ultimate Lacrosse, for tirelessly working to help me with my recruiting process. My experience at Ultimate was great. I would also like to thank Coach Chelsea Rosiek, who has been my Ultimate coach since 8th grade. Her drive and belief in me have pushed me to be the player I am today. I also need to thank Coach David Schlesinger, Wissahickon Head Varsity Coach, for his continuous work to make me a better player, along with his constant driving our team toward success. Another thank you to Steph Ellis, my goalie coach, who taught me all of the basics and made me proud to be a goalie. Lastly, I would like to thank my Mom and Dad for working endlessly to create opportunities for me, and for their constant unwavering support and love.”

Other schools considered? Yale University and Tufts University
