Perkiomen Valley High School junior midfield-defender Nathalie Sell has made a commitment to play Division II lacrosse at Millersville University.
Nathalie Sell log:
High School: Perkiomen Valley High School
Graduation Year: 2015
College Choice: Millersville University
Club Affiliation: Dynamite
Major lacrosse honors: Brine Regional team
Academic honors, service projects: National Honor Society, Distinguished Honor Roll, Rotary Interact Club, Youth League Coach, Captain of the HS varsity team
What will you major in/study? Education
Why did you choose Millersville? “I felt that it met my needs academically and I fell in love with the atmosphere. The school is known for it’s education and that is what I want to do, it seemed to be a perfect match from the start. The team and coaches are so welcoming and warm, I felt at home there. It will allow me to expand on my abilities as a lacrosse player as well as academically.”
What is your team’s outlook for the season? “We have a very young team. We have been working hard despite the crazy weather. This will definitely be a rebuilding year for our team. Our goal is to stay competitive in every game we play and work together as a team.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my parents for their constant support and for pushing me to be a better person as well as a lacrosse player . They have done so much for me and I love them so much, I would not be where I am today without them.
“I would like to thank Maureen Burger…she taught me most if what I know about lacrosse. Thank you for challenging me to try out for Dynamite even though I was very hesitant to. Without Maureen, I still would not understand how much lacrosse means to me.
“I would like to thank all of my coaches who have helped me develop from 5th grade until now. Special thanks go out to Coach Ali Allen, Coach Nikki, Coach Cam, and my High School coach, Coach Kelley. They have given me so many opportunities and advice throughout my lacrosse career and I will never forget that. They have taught me the basics, how to be a good team player, and how to always improve. I would not have changed them for the world! And I truly appreciate all that they have done for me!”
Other schools considered: Virginia Commonwealth University and Shippensburg University
