Inter-Ac Invitational quarterfinals: @EAboyslacrosse earns meeting with @Fords_Lacrosse

Curtis Zappala had four goals and an assist and jake Martellucci added three goals and one assist to power host Episcopal Academy to a 14-6 victory today over Germantown Academy in the quarterfinals of the Inter-Ac Invitational.

The win advanced the third-seeded Churchmen (8-12) into the semifinals against second-seeded Haverford School Friday night (time TBA) at Cabrini College. The Fords defeated Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 12-6.

Chris Friedman and Rich Palazzese each added two goals for EA while Christian Feliziani and Ernst combined to win 18 of 24 face-offs.

Garrett Trucksess led GA with three goals and one assist and Jimmy McAfee added two goals and an assist.

Haverford School 12, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy 6

Luke Desperito scored twice and Forry Smith had a goal and four assists to lead the Fords (19-5) to the quarterfinal victory.

Jeff Odiorne and Dox Aitken each added a goal and an assist for Haverford School.

Jackson Kleintz had two goals and an assist for SCHA.

Malvern Prep 10, Hun School 4

The top-seeded Friars (23-0) advanced to the semis with the victory over the Raiders (13-6) and will face fifth-seeded Lawrenceville in the semis.

Kyle Anderson, Tripp Traynor and Sparky Hilburn each had two goals and Kevin McGeary contributed a goal and three assists while Charles Kelly dominated at the X (17 of 18).

Adam Goldner added a goal and an assist and Carson Cocco posted eight saves.

For Hun, Corey Reynolds scored twice, Brendan Black had a goal and an assist and John Levine was superb with 18 saves.

Lawrenceville School 13, Penn Charter 6

Jon Coffey and Wyatt Rancourt scored three goals each and Jameson Demarco added two goals for the fifth-seeded Big Red.

Drew Gallant and Pierce Kraft each had two goals for the Quakers in defeat.
