What will you major in/study?
Business or Communications

Why did you choose school?
“For me, Widener has the perfect combination of great academics and athletics. Between the school’s solid business program and winning lacrosse tradition, I found the right fit. After getting to know Coach (Brendan) Dawson and his commitment to positive team culture and development of student-athletes, I knew Widener was where I wanted to continue playing lacrosse. I’m excited by the chance to make an impact and compete for conference and national championships. The fact that my family is close by is also a plus.”

Outlook for your High School team?
“We return a good number of talented players with significant varsity experience. A lot of people counted us out this past season and we proved them wrong, going 13-4 and making District 1 playoffs. Great Valley is a Ches-Mont contender year in and year out, and I expect the same for the 2015 season. We’re aiming to win another league title and make a run at district and state playoffs.”

Other comments: “First off, I would like to thank my mom, dad, and sister, Lindsay, for all their support and guidance throughout this process, being there for me every step of the way, and providing me with the resources and opportunities to be able to choose the right school for me and continue playing lacrosse at the next level.

“I’d also like to extend a huge thank you to my high school and club coach, Tony Verna, for all his support and wisdom in the recruiting process; it’s meant a lot to me. Also I’d like to thank my Great Valley teammates and Coaches Waldman, Mack, and Black, for your encouragement and for helping me strengthen different aspects of my game every year.

“Lastly, thank you to Baggataway LC and the coaches I’ve been fortunate to have there – Verna, Kendrick, Ryan, Doc and Karp. The exposure and advice you provided were a tremendous help in getting me to the next level.”

Other schools considered:
Lynchburg, Albright, Ursinus, F&M, Marywood, Washington College
