Old School Lacrosse Club has a very limited number of positions available for the Summer 2014 season and this will be the last chance to get connected with a team for the summer. The Old School program focuses on skill development and was the first club program to offer high level college and professional instruction, according to owner John Nostrant (Haverford School coach). Nostrant was pleased to recently announce that former World Champion player and coach and former Philadelphia Wings standout and assistant coach Adam Mueller was named as Field coordinator and director of Coaching.

Brine NLC Tryouts

Registration for the Pride of Pennsylvania Boys’ Showcase for the Philly region, for boys in the Class of 2015, 2016 and 2017 will be held Sunday, May 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Hill School in Pottstown. Players from anywhere in PA as well as Delaware and South Jersey are eligible to try out. Players that advance from this tryout will compete in early June in the Pride of Pennsylvania Showcase where the top players from the state will play in front of college coaches and evaluators. Brine evaluators will then select the top players to represent Pennsylvania at the Brine National Lacrosse Classic on June 30-July 3 at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds, MD. Class of 2017 players selected to play in the Pride of Pennsylvania will automatically qualify for selection and placement on the 2017 Pennsylvania team at the Brine National Lacrosse Classic. Prospect Clinic

St. Joseph’s University Men’s Lacrosse Elite Prospect Clinic, High School Classes of 2015, 2016, 2017, June 8th, 2014. 10:00am-4:00pm, Price: $135. Description: Our prospect clinics are designed for elite caliber high school players who are interested in playing at the college level. These single day, double-session, clinics provide the platform for each athlete to showcase their ability against top level competition, to gain insight into the life of a college lacrosse player, to learn about the recruiting process, while being instructed directly by the SJU coaching staff and players. The first session is geared toward small group skill development and positional instruction. Between sessions lunch will be provided and the SJU coaching staff will present a recruiting seminar and program overview. The second session progresses into full field games. Spring Tournaments

11th Annual Liberty Lacrosse Shootout Early Bird Special registration remains open for boys’ and girls’ youth lacrosse festival in Malvern, June 7/8 at the GCVSA Line Road Complex and The Phelps School. U9 Boys and U13 Boys/Girls will play June 7; U11 Boys/Girls and U15 Boys/Girls will compete Sunday, June 8.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Approximately 110 teams and 2500 youth players are expected to participate; Teams will play at least 3 games in diverse pools within their bracket; pool winners advance in a playoff format; Two brackets (A/B) are available in each division to help align teams that are organized by grade/ability to ensure games remain highly competitive (expect to see some 4v4 Bravehearts!); Registration Fee: $775 (“Early Bird Special” of $725 for teams/programs that register and pay on or before February 28th); Teams in each age group will be recognized for sportsmanship based largely on conduct scorecards kept by Shootout officials and site marshals after each game.

It is anticipated the Shootout will fill up in advance of the deadline (May 2nd), as it has the past 10 years. Summer Showcase

St. Joseph’s Men’s Last Chance Showcase, Rising High School Sophomores Through Seniors (Class of 2015, 2016, 2017), August 3rd, 9am – 4pm. Price: $135. The Last Chance Showcase is an opportunity to for high school players to get one final look before the end of the summer recruiting period. With the NCAA recruiting quiet period beginning the day after camp, this is literally your “Last Chance” to be seen before summer recruiting screeches to a halt. This event is designed for elite players who have a specific interest in SJU, or simply those who simply want to get in front of college coaches one more time before the end of the season. The camp will be staffed entirely with DI, DII and DIII coaches who are looking for one more glimpse of high school talent before the start of the school year.

Summer Leagues


Philly Face-Off Summer League
, a weekly high school and middle school face-off clinic at Radnor Memorial Park in Wayne where starting face-off players for their respective school or club teams can meet once a week to not only practice their skills against each other, and receive elite coaching. In order to be a part of the league you must have at least one year of experience facing-off at a high level for your school or club team. This league is not for beginners! This is an IDEAL clinic for face-off guys who want to compete against other quality face-off players for 90 minutes while receiving individualized instruction. After receiving a thorough warm up for about 10-15 minutes, players in the league will be constantly going “live” against each other in a fun round robin style format. The new rules and regulations for face-offs will be strictly enforced throughout the session. At the end of every session a King of the X will be held to see who has the hot hand that day. The Philadelphia Face-Off League is run by John Bodnar (Episcopal Academy, NXT Lacrosse) and Mike Dolente (Cabrini College, Dukes). They both have an extensive background in working with some of the best face-off guys in the area and are asking for more guys to compete. The League will run every Tuesday night in June and July. Fusion Lacrosse high school summer box lacrosse league. The League will run at Bucksmont Sports Center in Hatfield from June 18th-August 6th. Games will be an hour long and run sometime between 6pm and 9pm on Wednesday nights.
REGISTER HERE: INDIVIDUAL $145 For 8 weeks TEAM $1200 (teams of 12-16 recommended)
The league is designed for serious lacrosse players who want to use box lacrosse as a means to improve their skills, endurance, competitiveness, and game IQ. The league is open to graduation years 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, and 2014. All players will be required to go through two weeks of instruction taught by Fusion coaches Kevin Crowley and Steven Holmes before league games start. Both Holmes and Crowley play professional lacrosse in the MLL. Additionally, Crowley stars for the Philadelphia Wings and Holmes is the defensive coordinator at Malvern Prep.

Training

Summer Tournaments

The inaugural boys’ F4 PHILLY KICKOFF CLASSIC, presented by the people that brought you the F4 Showbine®, will take place on the south campus of West Chester University, June 14-15. The venue features three turf fields and seven immaculate grass fields and is easily accessible from all destinations with ample free parking. The championship format tournament will feature A and B brackets for High School through U13. U11 and U9 teams will be competitively matched based on coaches’ evaluations of the teams. All teams are guaranteed four games. Many top programs from around the nation have already committed, setting up for great competition. The 2014 Philly Kickoff Classic will be divided into 2 sessions: SESSION 1 High School Divisions A & B and U15s Saturday June 14th, 2014

Boys Summer Slam Lacrosse Tournament,
by the Pattison Sports Group. Will be held June 21-22, 2014 at The Westtown School, Bayard Rustin High School and West Chester United Soccer Complex in West Chester. The Summer Slam is a youth, middle school and high school boy’s lacrosse tournament featuring teams from across the country. In 2013, the tourney drew more than 225 teams from 19 states play in a championship format with each team guaranteed four games. Tournament registration as well as additional Summer Slam information can be found at www.VictoryEventSeries.com.High School divisions will include “A” and “AA” for 2015, 2016 and 2017. Youth divisions include “A” and “B” for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2013.

Box Out Summer Tournament, Yale University, July 5-6. The 2nd Annual Summer Box-Out Lacrosse Tournament will be held at Yale on July 5th and 6th. Cost is $600 per team per day, and you are guaranteed 4 half hour games per day. Average team size is about 12 players and a goalie. The tournament will take place in Reese stadium. All age divisions are available.

Showcase Lacrosse’s Summer Invitational has limited spots remaining for the 2018 division of its Summer Invitational to be held July 12-13 at Downingtown West High School. Teams from at least a dozen states have already confirmed their place in the tournament, which brought out more than 100 college coaches in 2013. BEACH LACROSSE TOURNAMENT SUMMARY
Games are 5v5, 4 field players plus a goalie, with a maximum of 10 players per team. Each game will have two 18-minute halves with a 4-minute break. Each team will play a minimum of 3 games. Divisions will run from Boy’s & Girl’s U8 – U18, Men’s & Women’s Open. Beach Lacrosse is played with NO SHOES (except goalies).

The 7th Annual Patriot Games Lacrosse Showcase by Heritage Lacrosse and ReQRuitme Technology, July 19th and 20th at venues in the heart of Bucks County,. ReQRuitme Technology, the mobile application system that allows high school athletes to create Mobile Profiles offering college coaches instant access to recruiting data on their mobile devices (smartphone or tablet), will provide recruiting profiles to participants in the tournament, which featured 214 teams from 13 states and Canada in 2013. Players participating in the high school brackets (Graduation Years 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018) at the Patriot Games will receive a one-year subscription to ReQRuitme by virtue of their team’s registration. With ReQRuitme, student-athletes will be able to set up Mobile Profiles for college coaches to have immediate access to their academic and athletic information (including highlight videos and coaches recommendations). Players will be asked to set up their Mobile Profiles in advance of the tournament. Each participant’s ReQRuitme Code will be included with the roster information in the Patriot Games Recruiting Package given to all college coaches in attendance, permitting a coach to scan the code and instantly access and share the player’s recruiting data.
