The John Carroll School (MD) junior midfielder Chantae Simms has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Delaware.

Club Affiliation: Elite Lacrosse Club

Major lacrosse honors: 2014 Baltimore Metro Team, 2013 UD Camp MVP, 2013 U19 Turtle Island Festival in Oshawa, Canada (undefeated), 2012 Navy Camp Hustle Award, 2012 USL U15 Tournament (5th place), 2011 USL U15 Tournament (3rd place)

What will you major in/study? Bio-Medical Engineering

Why did you choose UD? “I chose UD because I loved the coaches, the team and the campus. It it also close to home.”

Outlook for your High School team? “2014 was an up and down season but with changes coming next year and a large talented Senior class, I expect us to compete for the IAAM A championship.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for their support; especially my Mom who made sure I got to practice, games and training sessions. I would like to thank my club coaches and Krystin Porcella, my High School coach until last year. She guided me through the recruiting process.”
