Penn State offering three boys’ summer camps: Freshman/Sophomore Prospect, Goalie Camp, Instructional Camp

Freshman/Sophomore Prospect Camp, June 29PSU camps

The Nittany Lion Boys Lacrosse Freshman/Sophomore Prospect Camp is open to students who are entering grades 9-10 during the fall of 2014.

The Freshman/Sophomore Prospect Camp is a one-day competitive camp which will focus on skill development and team play concepts for more advanced skill players who are serious about raising their skills in preparation for playing at the collegiate level. Enrollment will be limited to 88 players. The enrollment will consist of the following: 16 Attackmen, 32 Midfielders, 24 Defensemen, 8 Face-Off Specialists and 8 Goalies.

Fee: $125 (includes instruction, lunch, camp shirt)

Lacrosse Goalie Camp. June 30-July 3

The Nittany Lion Boys Lacrosse Goalie and Instructional Camps are open to students ages 8-18.

The Goalie Camp is designed to provide goalies with the use of specialized drills and individual instruction sessions to enhance skill development in the cage. Solid instruction will focus on strategies to help goalies further refine their skills in game-like situations. Goalies will also participate in all games and several drills during the Penn State Instructional Camp. Instructors in the past have been Penn State alumni and current MLL All-Stars, Long Island Lizard Drew Adams (’09) and Chesapeake Bayhawk Chris Garrity (’03).

Who: Students ages 8-18

Fees:
$510 resident fee (includes instruction, housing, meals, camp shirt)
$425 commuter fee (includes instruction, all meals, camp shirt)

Meals: Dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day


Lacrosse Instructional Camp

The Lacrosse Instructional Camp will include stick-work practices, games and solid instruction that will focus on offensive and defensive strategies to help the players further refine their skills. Individual-help sessions and extra scrimmages under the lights will also be held.

Who: Students ages 8-18

Fees:
$510 resident fee (includes instruction, housing, meals, camp shirt)
$425 commuter fee (includes instruction, all meals, camp shirt)

Meals: Dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day
