Phoenixville

Head Coach: Senorita Thornton, 2nd season

2013 record: 8-5 PAC-10, 10-8 overall

2013 postseason: Advanced to Final Four playoffs as top seed from Frontier Division, losing to Owen J. Roberts 21-10 in semifinal round

Coach’s outlook: “We have a young team and five seniors who we will look to for leadership. Our focus this year is to play hard, work hard and have fun together as a team.”

Pope John Paul II

Head coach: Maureen Burger, 2nd season

2013 record: 1-12 PAC-10, 3-12 overall

Coach’s outlook: “The girls have been working hard in the preseason and are excited to improve on last year’s record through a unified team effort. We’re looking forward to the seniors leading the team.”

Pottstown

Head coach: Andrew Bachman (20th season), Assistant coach: Brandy Scherer

2013 record: 8-5 PAC-10, 9-10 overall

2013 postseason: Advanced to Final Four playoffs as No. 2 seed from Frontier Division, falling to 10-time league champion Boyertown 17-3 in semifinal round

Coach’s outlook: “We are a very young team this year with low numbers. We are starting out behind due to the weather and lack of attendance during off season training. This is a year of teaching and nurturing our young athletes. While Pottstown has had a tradition of hard work and success, we have not had the next generation commit and put forth the necessary time to maintain our level of success.”

Upper Perkiomen

Head coach: Susan Flack, 1st season (takes over for Melissa Furey)

2013 record: 5-8 PAC-10, 7-10 overall

Madelyn Fox – Midfield, first team All PAC-10 Frontier Division

Coach’s outlook: “We are optimistic about the season. The players are working hard at practice. Time will tell how they jell together as a team. We are very young with only 2 seniors on the team.”
