Tryouts will be held Sunday, March 16 at Germantown Academy for the Pennsylvania/Delaware/New Jersey girls’ high school and Middle School Academy teams that will compete this summer in the Brine National Lacrosse Classic.
The High school tryouts are for players in the graduation years of 2015, 2016 and 2017. Players from the 2017 also can be chosen to compete on the PA Freshman team that will compete for the first time.
The Brine National lacrosse Classic, run by Level 2 Sports, is held June 30-July 3 at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds, Md.
The Brine regional tryouts offer players the highest level of competition and exposure to the college admissions and athletic recruitment process while enabling student athletes to test and benchmark their lacrosse skills and athletic ability against the top players.
Up to 20 players demonstrating the highest level of potential will qualify for selection to represent the East (PA/NJ/DE) region at the Brine NLC where the team will compete for a national championship in front of NCAA lacrosse coaches from every division.
The Middle School Academy is for players in the Classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020. Players selected for the Academy receive high-level instruction, team practice, extreme team competition and individual position technique training from the NCAA’s top lacrosse coaches. There is also a similar tournament for the Academy where a national champion is crowned.
On Sunday, March 23 at GA from 8:30-11:30, a 2017 only tryout will be held for the PA/DE/NJ Freshman team, which will also include some players from this Sunday’s tryout. Players can attend either tryout in that class. To register for the March 23 event, click here.
