As a midfielder who enjoys facing off, are you tired of going to practices where they only work on face-offs for a short amount of time?
Are you looking for more experienced people to practice face-offs with?
Join the Philly Face-Off League this summer. During the winter over 40 different high school face-off players – and many of the top-rated face-off specialists in the region- participated regularly in the Philly Face-Off League. Directors are also launching a new Middle School league starting this summer.
The Philly Face-Off League is proud to announce registration has begun for a weekly high school and middle school face-off clinic at Radnor Memorial Park in Wayne, PA where starting face-off players for their respective school or club teams can meet once a week to not only practice their skills against each other, but receive elite coaching as well!
In order to be a part of the league you must have at least one year of experience facing-off at a high level for your school or club team. This league is not for beginners! This is an IDEAL clinic for face-off guys who want to compete against other quality face-off players for 90 minutes while receiving individualized instruction.
After receiving a thorough warm up for about 10-15 minutes, players in the league will be constantly going “live” against each other in a fun round robin style format. The new rules and regulations for face-offs will be strictly enforced throughout the session. At the end of every session a King of the X will be held to see who has the hot hand that day.
Players in the league should already be able to demonstrate the proper faceoff stance and body language in order to compete. This is a great way to come out and gain amazing experience against local players who will all be facing off for their school or club teams in the Spring and Summer.
The Philadelphia Face-Off League is run by John Bodnar (Episcopal Academy, NXT Lacrosse) and Mike Dolente (Cabrini College, Dukes). They both have an extensive background in working with some of the best face-off guys in the area and are asking for more guys to compete.
The League will run every Tuesday night in June and July. Want in on the League? Please check out the website www.phillyfaceoff.com for more information on registration and scheduling. Any other questions please contact Bodnar at firstname.lastname@example.org
The only way a face-off guy gets better is when they are constantly getting reps against guys who are just as fast and quick as they are! Take advantage of this opportunity and sign up now!
