MSI boys’ recruit: Villanova gets commitment from Calvert Hall (MD) 2016 attackman Kinnear

Calvert Hall (MD) sophomore attackman Jack Kinnear has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Villanova University.

Club Affiliation: Looney’s Lacrosse Club

Major lacrosse honors: CHC Varsity as a freshman, Jake Reed Nike BlueChip, Voted one of the most impressive players at the Terrapin Classic, Selected to FreeState Top 44

Academic Honors: Honor Roll, National Junior Honor Society, Academic letter

What will you major in/study? Business

Why did you choose Villanova? “I chose Villanova for the top notch academics, competitive lacrosse program and the quality coaching staff. I know Villanova will prepare me for the future and allow me the opportunity to play lacrosse at a very high level.”

HS team’s outlook for the upcoming season?” We have a very positive outlook on this season at Calvert Hall. Although, we lost a very talented senior class, we still believe we can be a powerful force this year in the MIAA. A crucial part of this season is that we are going to need a lot of young guys to step up this year. I believe there is a lot of chemistry and unselfishness on this team that will help lead us to an MIAA championship.”
