Clinics

Greg Cattrano’s Lacrosse Co-Ed Goalie Clinic, Sunday, Jan. 12 from 1-4 pm at Shipley School’s Upper School Yarnall Gym, Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr. This is the 12th year in Philly with NCAA and MLL Goalie of the Year Cattrano (former member of MLL champion Philadelphia Barrage) from Warrior Lacrosse. All goalies, male and female, receive 1v1 instruction from elite coaches. All goalies also will receive a Warrior Void Lyte goalie head for attending the clinic. Youth league group discounts are available.

Boys Defensive Clinic: Grades 5TH-12th. Tuesdays Jan 7th and 14th 5:30-7:00pm (2 night series $55) with Brendan Dawson- Widener University Head Coach. Focus on defensive play for long sticks and short stick middies, all defensive players should attend.
Boys Winter Skills Progressive Sessions: Grades 3rd-12th (broken into 3 groups). Sundays Jan 26th, Feb 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd March 2nd (6 sessions 1 ½ hrs each, see link below for specific times) with Bill McGlone- Philadelphia Wings/Ohio Machine. Age specific sessions which will focus on skill sets for all levels and positions. This clinic is designed as a mini-camp in preparation to spring season.

Arcadia Men’s Lacrosse is hosting a Coaches Clinic on Sunday February 2 with seminars from Philly region Division I coaches. The event – being held at the 2nd floor of the Student Center – is limited to 50 coaches and costs $35. Registration information is below. BSN sports is the event sponsor.

Maplezone SI in Garnet Valley offers boys’ private lessons, semi-private lessons, and team training. Our indoor fieldhouse allows us the ability to train regardless of the outside weather. Contact Jeff Murray at jmurray@maplezone.com for further information.

Spring Tournaments

The 2014 Irish Skirmish Tournament, April 26th and April 27th at the Herbst Sports Complex in Pipersville, Bucks County. Boys teams in grades 3-6 play on Saturday, April 26th and girls in 5th to 8th grades grade) as well as 7/8th grade boys play on Sunday, April 27th. The Irish Skirmish was created in honor of Coach Brian Riley, who passed away in 2005 .

Summer Tournaments

The inaugural boys’ F4 PHILLY KICKOFF CLASSIC, presented by the people that brought you the F4 Showbine®, will take place on the south campus of West Chester University, June 14-15. The venue features three turf fields and seven immaculate grass fields and is easily accessible from all destinations with ample free parking. The championship format tournament will feature A and B brackets for High School through U13. U11 and U9 teams will be competitively matched based on coaches’ evaluations of the teams. All teams are guaranteed four games. Many top programs from around the nation have already committed, setting up for great competition. The 2014 Philly Kickoff Classic will be divided into 2 sessions: SESSION 1 High School Divisions A & B and U15s Saturday June 14th, 2014
SESSION 2 U9-U13 Divisions Sunday June 15th, 2014. All teams guaranteed four games in a championship style tournament. All Games on Turf or well kept grass fields. Click here for registration.

Boys Summer Slam Lacrosse Tournament,
by the Pattison Sports Group. Will be held June 21-22, 2014 at The Westtown School, Bayard Rustin High School and West Chester United Soccer Complex in West Chester. The Summer Slam is a youth, middle school and high school boy’s lacrosse tournament featuring teams from across the country. In 2013, the tourney drew more than 225 teams from 19 states play in a championship format with each team guaranteed four games. Tournament registration as well as additional Summer Slam information can be found at www.VictoryEventSeries.com.High School divisions will include “A” and “AA” for 2015, 2016 and 2017. Youth divisions include “A” and “B” for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2013.

Summer 2014 Showcase

The application period has opened for the 2014 National Invitational 175 Summer Showcase at RPI on July 28-30, 2014 for grad years 2015, 2016 and 2017. Click here for registration, which closes out on Sept. 30.
