Tickets are available for the Fourth Evanfest Foundation Happy Hour on January 19th from 7:30-10:30 PM at Barnaby’s in West Chester.
The Evanfest Foundation is a non-profit organization that is devoted to easing the enormous strains faced by families who every day battle against a child’s life threatening disease. The purpose of the event is to gather together for a night of camaraderie and celebration to recognize all of you who have joined in fighting the good fight against cancer and other childhood illnesses.
Evanfest was founded six years ago by Bill and Patrice Brady in memory of their son Evan, a youth lacrosse standout who fought his disease with honor and courage. While we lost Evan on September 21st, 2005, his legacy of courage lives on through the foundation. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Evan instantly recognized his courage and love.
The core fundraising event is a youth lacrosse tournament held annually at Malvern Prep, called Evanfest. his year’s tournament will be the Seventh, and will be held on April 6th, 2013. The tourney features one high school game: Malvern Prep vs. West Chester East as the capper to the event.
To date, Evanfest has raised over $577,000.00, which has allowed the Foundation to provide financial assistance to over 145 different families in the Delaware Valley. Many of their inspirational stories are featured on the Evanfest website at www.evanfest.com.
Tickets for the event will be $30.00 per person and include open bar (domestic beers & wines) from 7:30 to 10:30 PM. Light fare will also be available and is included in the ticket price. Best of all, 50% of all proceeds will be given directly to our cause.
