St. John’s Prep (MA) 2014 attackman Shawn Waldron has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Ursinus College.

Shawn Waldron log:

Shawn Waldron

Shawn Waldron

High School: St. John’s Preparatory School, MA

Graduation Year: 2014

Position: attack

College Choice: Ursinus College

Club Affiliation: Top Gun Fighting Clams

Academic honors: National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society

What will you major in/study? Economics

Why did you choose the school? “I chose Ursinus because of the opportunity to play for a very good, up and coming team with a coach who has an incredible passion for the sport and plan to bring Ursinus a D3 championship.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “We had a lot of games where we could have beaten any team and other games where we showed a lot of room for improvement. We graduated a good number of seniors but this year, with another older team, we will be a large Massachusetts D1 competitor again and a contender for the Catholic Conference championship.”

Thank You: “I definitely want to thank my parents and club coach Justin Walker for guiding me through this whole process, I would have been lost without their help. I also want to thank Coach Steele at Ursinus for everything he did during the process and making it as easy for my parents and me as possible.

Other schools considered? Skidmore College, Bowdoin College, Washington and Lee University, Franklin and Marshall College.
