Steve Hildebrand scored two goals and 11 players scored in all as Conestoga routed Delaware Valley, 12-1, today in the PIAA boys’ lacrosse quarterfinals at Exeter.
The three-time defending champion Pioneers (14-10) advance to the semifinals Tuesday when they will meet District 1 champion Avon Grove, a 7-4 winner over Wilson-West Lawn.
Conestoga has reached the state semifinals all five years the tourney has been held and has won 14 consecutive state tourney games.
Delaware Valley, the District 2 champion, closes at 19-3.
Alex Mezey had a goal and two assists for Conestoga, which opened up an 8-0 lead at halftime with six second-period goals.
Robbie Zonino had three saves in the first half and Jimmy Walton stopped seven shots in the second half for the Pioneers.
