The major focus for TopLaxRecruits.com is on college commitments and signings. Boys and girls can submit their commitment or signing stories online in an easy-to-use form, and readers can easily follow the stories on pages arranged by gender, year and division.
There are also stories on high school tournaments, coaching hires, as well as breaking news and features. The site will also provide high school results as well as news on club teams, recruiting tournaments and showcases.
“We saw a need for covering recruits on a national level,” said Lacrosse Media CEO and Editor Chris Goldberg, whose company also operates Phillylacrosse.com, LIlacrosseNews.com and BaltimoreLacrosseNews.com. “Lacrosse players, coaches, recruiters, fans and followers want to know who the players are to watch and where they are going to play at the college level.
“In recent years we’ve witnessed the explosion of lacrosse well beyond the traditional hotbeds of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.”
Goldberg previously wrote the National Rankings for MaxPreps and the Mid-Atlantic Rankings for Laxmagazine.com (US Lacrosse). He will be posting weekly North American rankings for boys’ and girls’ high school teams on TopLaxRecruits and a special weekly feature on top scholar-athletes.
“One of the sections I look forward to running is the Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll, highlighting the academic and service achievements by high school lacrosse players throughout North America,” said Goldberg, also an educator and former youth lacrosse coach and umprire. “Coaches will be able to nominate deserving players.’
Players, coaches, parents and followers are encouraged to submit non-recruit articles and newsworthy information for the site in an easy-to-use submission form. To email the editors at TopLaxRecruits.com, send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
TopLaxRecruits also is seeking interns interested in covering high school lacrosse and writing commitment stories as well as correspondents interested in sending or tweeting game results. Send inquiries to email@example.com.
