This is one of a series of previews for the 2013 Philly lacrosse season

Henderson

Coach: Kim Jackson, 27th season

Last Year’s Record: 17-3, 2nd place Chesmont league, lost second round District playoffs

Key Returnees:
Katie O’Donnell (junior midfielder) – Over 100 career goals after her freshman and sophomore seasons. First team all-Chesmont 2012. Committed to Penn State.
Morgan Daugherty (senior midfielder) – four year varsity starter, very versatile and consistent player with excellent stick skills. First team All-Chesmont 2012
Sara Laudermilch (junior midfielder) – starter freshman and sophomore seasons, all everything player, led team in ground balls and forced turnovers, committed to Delaware. 2nd team All-Chesmont 2012
Ali Pugliese (senior attack) – returning starter from 2012,smart player with excellent vision on attack, provides great field leadership
Erin Schaeffer (senior defender) – key defender from last season, looking to lead defense with sister Maddy in 2013.
Maddy Schaeffer (sophomore defender) – starting defender as freshman, gained excellent experience, looking to lead defense with sister Erin in 2013.

Key Newcomers:
Ryann Bauer (freshman attack) – strong player with excellent stick skills who looks to have secured a starting attack position and will learn under the tutelage of some experienced upperclassman.
Juliana Cantor (sophomore GK) – takes over for the Warriors in the net after a strong JV season and post season experience

Unionville High School

Coach: Wendy Landry 7th season Varsity coach, (20th season at Unionville)

Last Year’s Record: 12-6-1. First round of District 1 playoffs

“This season will be a growing year for our team. We graduated a lot of seniors, but we still have some strong leaders returning and many talented sophomores who will be making an impact on the field. I’m excited about the possibilities and potential of the team this year.”
