Kevin M. Figaniak, of Silverdale, PA, died Saturday, September 1, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Oakland, PA. He was 21.
He was the son of Thomas G. and Valerie A. (Massa) Figaniak, of Silverdale. He was a 2010 graduate of Pennridge High School.
Kevin was a Senior at Wheeling Jesuit University, Wheeling, West Virginia, where he was a Business Major.
He loved sports and was a member of WJU’s Varsity Lacrosse Team as well as the Club Hockey Team. He also enjoyed golf, surfing, fishing, ice hockey and of course, lacrosse. Most of all, he loved his family and his dogs, Mily, Maggie, Winston, Sophie and Bailey.
Kevin was a member of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, PA.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Thomas J. Figaniak, a sister, Shannon L. Figaniak, his maternal grandmother, Dorothy M. Massa, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Route 152 & Broad St., Hilltown, PA, where family and friends may call from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kevin Figaniak Memorial Fund, Wheeling Jesuit University, Attn. Noah Mull, Advancement, 316 Washington Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003, or to the Last Chance Ranch, 9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
