Dante Tuscai (West Chester East) scored twice during the final five minutes to lift Immaculata University to a 10-8 non-conference men’s lacrosse victory against Arcadia University on Saturday.

Tuscai’s two goals capped a five-goal fourth quarter for the Mighty Macs, who entered the final stanza trailing the Knights by two (7-5). Immaculata, which trailed throughout much of the game, inched within one goal just 1:03 into the fourth quarter when Ben Tuscai found the back of the net unassisted. However, Arcadia scored just 11 seconds later to push its lead back to two goals.

The Mighty Macs (1-1) rattled off the final four goals of the game, the first from Bhelly Bagbonon (Conestoga) with 12:58 to play. Mike Boyd then scored the equalizer for Immaculata on a pass from Ben Tuscai (West Chester East) with 10:14 remaining.

Dante Tuscai then played the hero with his game-winning goal at the 4:43 mark, which also eclipsed the 100-point mark for the senior. He also added an insurance marker with 2:39 remaining as he took a feed from Jordon Smith (West Deptford) and dented the twine.

Dante Tuscai finished with a team-leading three goals, while Ben Tuscai had four points off two goals and two assists. Bagbonon also scored twice, and Rocco Piliero (Downingtown East), Mike Boyd (Perkiomen Valley) and Jonathan Kopistecki (Egg Harbor Township) recorded one goal each.

Arcadia’s (0-2) largest lead of the game was four goals, which it reached twice during the second quarter, including a 6-2 advantage at halftime.

Chris Jacovino and John Phillips each netted two tallies for the Knights.

Immaculata goalkeeper Jon Diodati (Henderson) recorded his first win of the season in the crease making seven saves. Arcadia goalie Cory Sonderschafer (Central Bucks South) recorded 16 stops.
