Chris Goldberg of Phillylacrosse.com is here at HersheyPark Stadium for the PIAA championship game between Harriton and Radnor, two Central League rivals.
The Harriton Rams (24-2) are making their first appearance in a PIAA title game. The Radnor Red Raiders (20-4) won the first and second PIAA title games ever played, in 2009 and 2010.
We are still waiting for the lineups to be announced…
First Half
Radnor wins the first draw
22:09 – Big save Harriton’s Melina Avery
Harriton – 20:22 – Caleigh Foust off the fast break makes it 1-0
Avery with a big save on Sydney Cowles off a free position – 16:39
Radnor – 15:23 – Shannon Quinn scores on a great individual effort to tie it, 1-1
Grace Collins with a big save for Radnor, 14:39
Radnor 11:05 – Sydney Cowles scores off a rebound, Radnor up 2-1
Radnor – 10:39 – Reilly Masterson scores to make it 3-1
Collins with another save – Radnor has won every draw and has had possession at least 80 percent of the game
Radnor -7:43 – Sara Curley scores off a free position. Harriton calls time – a 4-0 run for Raiders
Harriton finally gets the ball back and turns it over. The Rams are really struggling on offense
Radnor -4:01 – Brooke Pancoast scores on a free position and it’s 5-1 after 5 straight goals by Radnor
Harriton – 3:12 – Foust makes it 5-2 off a free position – much-needed for Rams
Avery saves the Rams again. It could be much worse than 5-2
Harriton – :09 – Maura Henderson scores on a free position after a 3-second call on Radnor

2nd Half
Harriton – 24:00 – Jane Henderson scores to make it 5-4. Rams have three straight goals
Yellow card on Maura Henderson, Rams are man down
Penalty killed off
both teams playing sloppy lacrosse now
Harriton – 18:24 – Foust on the free position, tied up 5-5
Harriton – 17:26 – Jane Henderson scores off a free position and suddenly the Rams have the lead, 6-5
Harriton – 17:13 – Foust wins the draw and goes right down the field before beating Collins high for a 7-5 lead
Radnor calls TO
Radnor – 16:25 – Shannon Quinn breaks drought of 12:36 – now 7-6
Collins with a big save and Radnor gains possession, looking to tie it with less than 14 minutes to play
Radnor -13:31 – Kate Stanley ties it ona free position, 7-7 game!
Seven minutes left and Rams have possession
Collins makes a huge stop on a free position by Jane Henderson with 5:19 left!
Shannon Quinn hits the post on a FP
Harriton has possession with 1:45 left – but Radnor takes it away
Avery stops Sara Curley on a FP with :18 to play – following a yellow card on Hilary Lemonick for an illegal check – Harriton calls TO with :09 left
We will go overtime!
Harriton will be a man down for 1:34 more.
