Jewish All-American women: Sukonik, Ellis, Hurwitz, Sack are First Team picks

Lehigh sophomore attack Carli Sukonik (Harriton), Princeton senior attack Sam Ellis and Bucknell senior attack-midfielder Madison Hurwitz (Council Rock South) earned First Team Division I All-American from the Jewish Sports Review.

Sukonik collected 25 goals in 11 games (she missed five games due to a concussion) and earned All-Patriot Second Team honors.

Ellis had 16 goals in helping the Tigers reach the NCAA tournament.

Hurwitz had 26 goals and 22 assists for the Bison.

Lafayette senior attack Jess Rothstein (Harriton) earned Honorable Mention honors by scoring 22 goals.

Division III

Sack, a senior midfielder, had 17 goals and an amazing 75 assists (second in Division III with 4.8 average) and added 35 GBs. She broke a school mark with 176 career assists and 267 points. Sack earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors and the league’s Player of the Year. She also was IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region First Team.

Also, Hamilton junior midfielder Emily Brodsky (Friends’ Central) was an Honorable Mention pick, as she scored 15 goals.
