On May 17th, what ended up as the final game of a standout school lacrosse career, Cherry Hill East senior midfielder Caitlin Delaney reached the 200 goal milestone.
She netted her 200th goal early in the first half of East’s playoff game against Cherokee. Although Delaney finished the day with six goals to lead all scorers, it was not enough to hold off a late Cherokee rally that ended in a 12-9 loss.
It was a banner year for the Sacred Heart University-bound Delaney, who tallied 95 goals on the season and a career total of 203. She led the Cougars to an 11-7 record, the best finish in her four years playing varsity lacrosse at East.
