Cape Henlopen High School

Coach: PJ Kesmodel, 6th year as varsity head coach at Cape Henlopen

Last Year’s Record: 18-0, including a victory over Episcopal Academy of Philadelphia. Also won our 4th straight Delaware State Championship.

Key Returnees:
Senior, attacker, Anna Frederick (81 goals and 43 assists), First Team All-State–Temple
Senior, midfielder, Sara Young (47 goals, 11 assists, also led the team in groundball controls & won 2/3’s of her draw attempts), First Team All-State–U Penn

“Also returning are two junior 2012 second team All-State players who have verbally committed to play Division I lacrosse at Winthrop University in South Carolina.”

Top Newcomers: 10th grade goalie Samantha Broadhurst who is expected to start and have an impact immediately.

“We should be very strong again offensively (6 of our top 8 scorer’s from 2012 return), but we lost our entire starting defense and seven starters all together from last year’s team including 3 first team All-State players.”

Archmere Academy

Coach: Caitlin Barbakoff, 1st year at Archmere

Last Year’s Record: 13-4, graduated 7 starters

First year senior goalie who really impresses, Leigh Henjes
