Longstreth girls’ recruit: Hun School (N.J.) 2014 attack-midfielder Barratt signs with Syracuse

The Hun School (N.J.) senior attack Brianna Barratt has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Syracuse University.

What will you major in/study? Health and Exercise Science

Why did you choose the school?
“The Syracuse women’s lacrosse team is coached by one of the greatest players (Gary Gait) the game has ever known. They have done an amazing job with the program and I can honestly say that Coach Gait, Coach Thorpe and Coach Rowan played a huge role in my final decision. I cannot wait to carry on the academic and athletic traditions at Syracuse University.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season?
“This is our rebuilding year. We have a lot of young players who are very eager to step up into leadership positions. Our coach, Haley Sanborn, has done an amazing job with the program and I cannot wait for the spring!”

I cannot thank her enough for driving me to all of the club practices, tournaments and college visits. Also, I would like to thank Michele DeJuliis from Ultimate, for believing in me.
