From Press Release
NXTsports is proud to announce that the 2013 Boys Philly Showcase weekend set a new coach attendance record. A total of 187 college coaches signed in during Philly Showcase weekend, breaking the previous high of 176 set in 2012.
Ninety-nine Division 1 head or assistant coaches attended Showcase weekend, and 63 of the 67 Division 1 programs were represented. Additionally, in an amazing testament to the amount of talent on display, almost half of all Division 1 programs sent more than one coach from their staff to evaluate and recruit at the event.
The 31 Division 1 programs sending multiple coaches to Philly Showcase weekend were: Army, Bellarmine, Colgate, Denver, Fairfield, Furman, Georgetown, Hartford, Harvard, Hobart, Hofstra, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, Marist, Maryland, Mercer, Michigan, Monmouth, Notre Dame, Princeton, Richmond, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, Stony Brook, Syracuse, Towson, UMass, UMBC, Villanova & VMI.
Said Brett Manney, NXTsports Director of Showcase Lacrosse, “our main goal at NXTsports is to run events that exceed the expectations of all attendees, including the college coaches. That means compiling top talent and perfectly organizing all data in a way that makes it easy for coaches to do their jobs efficiently. We are very proud that so many of our friends in the college coaching ranks chose to make the trip to Philly for our event, and we look forward to welcoming them back in the future.”
