With family members, coaches, teachers, and some classmates sitting in the bleachers and cheering them on, three Episcopal Academy boys signed National Letters of Intent during a Wednesday ceremony in the school’s competition gymnasium.
Nov. 13 is the first day of the NCAA’s early signing period when top high school student-athletes participating in winter and spring sports can ink binding commitments with Division I colleges and universities. The Episcopal seniors who signed on the dotted line on NCAA signing day are:
Rich Pallazzese, midfielder, Holy Cross
Matt Ernst, face-off specialist, Lehigh University
Raphael Furey, defenseman, Boston University
The three lacrosse signees will all play in the Patriot League next year.
“That will be a great experience, playing against those guys in college,” said Pallazzese. “I’m excited to attend Holy Cross. I was looking for a school where I thought I would grow as a student, an athlete, and a man. Holy Cross had all of those things. I really liked the campus, the school’s academic reputation, and the coaches.”
