Why did you choose Princeton? “When I stepped on to the Princeton campus I knew it was the place for me. To begin, Coach (Chris) Bates and his staff were excellent and they made me feel very welcomed. I also have a lot of faith in Coach Bates not only for the coach he is, but also for the great person he is. Academics were what I valued most through the whole process and the Princeton academics are ranked high in the world. Being close to my family is extremely significant to me. My family is the most important thing in my life and the ability for my family to be able to continue to come watch me play in college was imperative.”

Why did you choose Princeton? “I wanted to play at a school in which I could compete for a National Championship consecutively. It gives me something to work towards. I believe Coach Bates will keep the team at the highest level. Being as competitive as I am, I am looking forward to competing at this very high level.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Although, we graduated a few seniors including All-League guys and an All-American in Michael Rama, we bring back many starters and anything less than a league title would be a disappointment. We feel as though last year we put ourselves on the map and we will work very hard this off season to have as much success as last year and more.”

Additional Comments: “I would first like to thank my High School coach JP Banks. He helped me with the college selection process, school, and on the lacrosse field; Coach Banks is always there for me. Coach White thank you for your knowledge of the game. To Coach Haldy Gifford, thank you for improving me as a player and a person. For making me “think the game” and always being there for me. I would also like to thank Liam Banks for working with me and believing in me and a thank you to the Ambler family (Colin, and Ryan) for your support.

“Next, my club coaches have helped and guided me so much along the way. Coach Ebe Helm helped me through the whole process. I would like to thank him for his help and dedication and for always being there for me. A thanks to Coach Jason Christmas for keeping it fun, Coach Vetrone, Coach Mackrides, Coach McKinney, Coach Gregg, and Coach Sankey for your guidance. Thank you to my Mesa Fresh coaches. Coach Rohr and Coach Aitken for believing in me and putting me on the team and a big thank you to my 2016 Mesa coaches. Coach Brumbaugh for always giving me positive feedback. Coach Josh Wilicoz for all the time he has put into helping get me in the best physical shape. He truly helped me become bigger, faster, and stronger in the offseason. Without you I’m not sure where I would be today. Coach Brian Wall who has coached me since I was in fourth grade and has helped me all the way up. Finally, Coach Mueller who has taken my game to a new level. Your hybrid field/box lacrosse you taught me and how you have enhanced my game so much by helping my stick skills advance incredibly.

“Lastly, a huge thank you to my entire family for always being there for me. For their endless support over the years especially; my Mom, Brothers (Nick and Andrew), Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles. A special thank you goes to my Dad; for all the time he has given to help me become the player and young man I am today and for introducing me to the game at an early age.

“Finally, I would like to thank Coach Bates and his staff again for giving me this opportunity. I am very excited to compete for National Championships and look forward to working hard every day to get there. Thank you.”
