Tickets to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament to be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the University of Delaware’s Delaware Stadium go on sale today, Friday, Nov. 1.

The event will feature a doubleheader format involving teams that won their first round NCAA Tournament games held the week before. The four quarterfinal winners will advance to the NCAA Championships to be held May 24-26 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Tickets can be purchased in-person at the Delaware Ticket Office at the Bob Carpenter Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.; by telephone by calling 302-831-2257, or online by going to www.bluehens.com and clicking on the link to “Tickets” at the top of the page.

Delaware Stadium has hosted NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament action three others times. Delaware hosted the NCAA Division I Championship Game in 1984, the first-ever NCAA Final Four in 1986, and NCAA first round games in 2002.

The 22,000-seat stadium serves not only as the home of the Blue Hen men’s and women’s lacrosse teams but is also one of the finest venues in the nation among NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision programs. The lighted stadium includes a synthetic FieldTurf surface that was installed in 2009.
