MSI is proud to announce the addition of Caitlin Kelley as the director of girls’ Lacrosse. Kelley is a seasoned coach with over a decade of coaching experience at the college, high school and youth level, most recently at Archmere Academy and Downingtown East. During her tenure at Downingtown East, Kelley compiled a record of 72-21 and led the Cougars to a state title appearance in 2011 and an 8th place national ranking.

In her first year at Archmere Academy, Coach Kelley led her 2013 squad to a 13-4 record which culminated in a state semi-final appearance. Over the last five seasons at both Archmere and Downingtown East, Kelley has produced over 20 players who currently play DI or DII, including three goalkeepers who play for top tier DI programs, one of whom was the U19 World Cup Goalie in 2011.

In 2010 and 2011, along with her high school coaching role, Coach Kelley was the head coach for Team Philly in the UnderArmour All-American National Games. Coach Kelley has also been a multi-year US Lacrosse National Tournament team coach for Philly area players.

As a player, Caitlin was a multi-sport athlete at Phillips Andover Academy and Wesleyan University. At Wesleyan, Caitlin set school and NCAA records in lacrosse, track, ice hockey, and cross country.

“We are pumped to have Caitlin join our staff,” MSI Lacrosse Director Jeff Murray said. “Her coaching experience and knowledge of training athletes is outstanding. She has a proven track record of preparing athletes to play college lacrosse.”

“I am thrilled to be a part of the MSI family and their efforts to promote and develop girls’ lacrosse in the area,” said Kelley. “MSI’s facilities and staff offer an unparalleled platform for year round girls’ lacrosse training and conditioning.

“I believe our training opportunities will strengthen girls’ lacrosse from youth to high school, creating stronger local programs and building more college players.”

MSI is currently accepting registrations for girls’ lacrosse summer club teams. This is an excellent opportunity for players to be a part of an amazing training facility and play under top level coaches.

MSI girls’ summer club team tryouts for current 6th-10th graders will be held on Sunday November 10th from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Maplezone Fieldhouse located on the Conchester Hwy in Garnet Valley. Please click here to register for tryouts ($20).
