PHILLY GAMERS off-season Lacrosse Training, by Kelly Barnes and Michi Ellers. Starting September 30th, the first of three academies: The FALL ACADEMY will be held every Monday night for 5 consecutive weeks (7PM-8:30PM: 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21 10/28).
The WINTER ACADEMY will be held Sunday Nights (7PM-8:30PM: 11/17, 11/24, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15).
The PRESEASON ACADEMY will be held Sunday Mornings (10AM-11:30AM: 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16). Click here for registration.

Showcases

The 2013 Girls Philly Showcase, by NXTsports, Saturday, November 9, Westtown School in West Chester, High School and Club Coaches can nominate their players by completing the Coach Nomination Form. Cost is $200. Click here to register.The Girls Philly Lacrosse Showcase provides a highly competitive environment for elite high school players aspiring to play college lacrosse. Each registrant is placed on a team, is guaranteed participation in three games over the course of the morning, and has a chance to be selected to play in one of three “Fab Forty” All-Star games in the afternoon. Additionally, every team will be coached by a top high school coach who, over the course of the morning, will focus on teaching advanced concepts and techniques to every player.

Leagues

Maplezone Winter Indoor League for boys and girls youth to high school, at Maplezone on the Conchester Highway in Boothwyn. The league features elite boys and girls programs from the area. The winter lacrosse league will begin the first week of December and run through the middle of February with playoffs and championship games for all levels. This league will fill up quickly so please do not miss out on the opportunity to play lacrosse through those winter months in a climate controlled environment. Club tryouts

South Jersey Select tryouts, October 6th and 13th from 6-8:30 PM at Wesley Bishop’s two turf fields on Church Street in Moorestown. The dates and times are as follows: October 6th: 2018-2020 grad years; October 13th: 2015-2017 grad years. The cost is $60 per player for early registration. Click here to register through check or PayPal. All players must be US Lacrosse members and tryouts are open to all girls regardless of current membership or geographic location. Lastly, there are still openings for some fall clinics, primarily the 5/6th grade and 11/12th grade clinics. The clinics are held at ISC in Cherry Hill and Mt. Laurel, NJ.

 EVERYONE trying out MUST be a valid member of US Lacrosse. For more details about The Motion Teams, please read our overview and FAQ sections listed under our Tournament Division Tab. If you cannot make tryouts, contact us and we will work with you to set up an alternative date.

Bucks Select tryouts, Saturday, October 19 at War Memorial Field, Doylestown. Check-In will begin 30 minutes prior to tryout session. Tryout Fee: $25.00 Online Registration Fee (before October 18th). $35.00 Walk Up Fee (after October 18th).
Tryout Times: 11AM-1 PM, Grades 8-11; 1:30-3:30 PM. Grades 5-7. All prospective players must tryout in order to be considered for a summer team. This also applies to players who have played with Bucks Select in the past. Click here for registration.

Lenape Premier tryouts for the 2014 team on Sunday, October 20 from 4:30-6:30 at Garnet Valley High School on the upper field. Tryouts are open to 2015 grads. Tryout fee is $10. Tournaments

Fall Roundup Girls’ Tournament, October 26-27, Westtown School, West Chester, by Ultimate Events, championship format, where teams are “rounded” up from across the country to compete at the beautiful campus of the Westtown School. They represent states such as: WA, FL, GA, MA, PA, MD, VA, NY and NJ, and the list continues to grow! The teams receive 4, full games, and will play both days! The tournament offers a division for all age groups from 2014-2021s. In addition, DII and DIII college coaches will be in attendance. Brandywine Classic Boys/Girls Lacrosse Tournament, October 26-27, 8:00-6:00PM both Saturday and Sunday; HS Games Saturday, Youth Games Sunday, Brandywine Polo Grounds, 232 Polo Road, Toughkenamon, PA 19374. As a first year event last year, the Brandywine Classic hosted 65 boys and girls teams from the surrounding region. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of four games, either Saturday or Sunday with the opportunity to earn the Brandywine Classic crown. How to Register: Girls Clubs can register online here with a credit card, or by sending a check. The Registration Fee for 1-3 teams is $1,200 per team. The 3rd Annual Lake-Lehman Fall Classic 7-on-7 girls lacrosse tournament, November 3rd at Lake-Lehman High School, Lehman PA,. hosted by Lake-Lehman Girls Lacrosse Booster Club, Sunday. Each team is guaranteed five 25-minute games. The cost is just $275 per team.
Lake-Lehman HS is located about two hours north of Philadelphia — just outside of Wilkes-Barre. Travel will be considered when assigning start times.
There are five (5) divisions: • Girls HS (9-12 grade) – A & B; • Girls Jr. High (6-9 grade) – A & B; • Girls Elementary (4-6 grade)

5th Annual Care for the Cure Tournament, November 9 & 10 at West Chester Henderson High School in West Chester PA. On August 15, 2008 Caroline (Care) Cranston, at 24 years old, was diagnosed with leukemia. In high school, Care played lacrosse for West Chester Henderson and continued her lacrosse career at Duquesne University. Our mission is to bring the lacrosse community together and to raise awareness for this terrible disease. This tournament is a Girls & Boys High School Tournament. There will be both a JV and Varsity Division and will include teams from all over the country. Lacrosse Evolution’s 11th Annual Pumpkin Pie Festival, November 23 & 24 at The Westtown School in West Chester PA. This tournament is a Girls & Boys Festival that will include divisions for both youth community programs and travel lacrosse programs. The divisions include U9/U11/U13/U15 for the boys, and new this year will include a U7 division! The Girls divisions include grades 3/4; 5/6; ad 7/8. The cost of the tournament is $950 per team and includes 3 games all on the same day. The breakdown will be Boys U9 & U15 and Girls on Saturday November 23 and U11 & U13 on Sunday November 24. Please note the you must play in the division you will be playing in the Spring and Summer of 2014. All teams and vendors welcomed.
