Penn State club team wins NCLL Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament in VA

The Penn State Men’s Club team – loaded with Philly players – toppled James Madison, 7-3, Saturday to win the National College Lacrosse League’s 23rd Annual Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament at the Hill School in Middleburg, VA.

The Nittany Lions defeated Loyola (9-2) and Towson (10-0) in pool play.

Philly players on Penn State included Blake and Brandon Ament (Central Bucks East), Scott Markle (Methacton), Matt Reilly (New Hope-Solebury), Ryan Mawhinney (Neshaminy), Jimmy Cushwa (Salesianum School), Jamie Froelich (Avon Grove), Dave Cardile (Avon Grove), Trevor Hornby (Avon Grove), and Peter Thiel (Bayard Rustin).

The National College Lacrosse League has over 125 colleges and universities as members throughout the United States. Penn State was last year’s Division I National champion.
