Let’s just say it’s the “perfect match” for The MATCH.

ReQRuitme Technology, the mobile application system that allows a high school lacrosse player to create a Mobile Profile offering a college coach instant access to the athlete’s information on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), has partnered with The MATCH recruiting event scheduled for Sunday, October 20 at The Hill School in Pottstown, PA.match

Each student-athlete selected to play in The MATCH will receive his own ReQRuitme Mobile Profile to permit college coaches in attendance to retrieve and view information in that player’s profile, including academic, athletic and community service credentials, the player’s video highlights, coaches’ recommendations and other data during the event or to log it for review later.

Players will be asked to set up their mobile profile in advance of the event, and each participant’s QR Code will be included with the roster information in the MatchBooks given to all college coaches in attendance, permitting a coach to scan the code and instantly see, tag and/or share the player’s profile during the event.

The MATCH, which is being directed by Heritage Lacrosse, is a unique recruiting event created to showcase strong lacrosse prospects (2014 to 2017 graduation years) who are considering playing high caliber lacrosse at the Division II/III level. The response for this inaugural event from high school players and Division II/III colleges has exceeded expectations. Over 100 players have been accepted to play; close to that number have been nominated or are pending review and/or receipt of nominations. Through the end of September, over 25 college programs indicated they planned to be in attendance.Reqruitme

“We are extremely excited to bring our technology to The MATCH,” said Steve Gonzalez, ReQRuitme Technology partner. “The event is a PERFECT MATCH for what ReQRuitme Technology brings to the field.

“The lacrosse players who complete their mobile profiles will be able to get their vital information into a college coaches hands, literally, on the spot, at the event. It’s a great opportunity for us, the athletes and the college coaches.”

“We are excited to feature the ReQRuitme solution for the benefit of our players and coaches,” said Scott Growney, a co-founder of The MATCH. “ReQRuitme will help players communicate their narrative and make it accessible in real time to the schools and programs they are interested in and schools that might not be on their radar as yet.

“At the same time, it will serve the needs of the coaches in attendance, who may spot a player on the field and promptly scan and bookmark his profile to obtain additional data and assess his prospects as a recruit.”

According to Growney, ReQRuitme promises to be a huge value add for the event and is a tool to bring participants – both prospects and coaches – together, affording exposure for the player, facilitating a player/coach dialogue and fostering the “Fit” that The MATCH was designed to promote.
