Adam Maiale

High school:
La Salle

Graduation year: 2014

Position:
LSM

College choice:
Ursinus College

Club affiliations: Rebel Elite, Mainline LC

Major lacrosse honors, camps:
Blue Chip 225 All-Star 2013, Big 4 Showcase All-Star 2011, Maverik Showtime 2012, Villanova Top 150, Under Armour Try-Outs Top 40 2012

What will you major in/study: Business/Communications

Why did you choose school: “I chose Ursinus because it is the best all around fit. Not only does Ursinus have an outstanding academic reputation, but it also offers small class sizes where students get to interact with their professors. From a athletic standpoint, Ursinus competes in the Centennial Conference, which is the toughest conference in D3 lacrosse. I also love the coaching staff. Coach (Jamie) Steele, and coach (David) Page like to play at a very fast pace, and love to push the ball in transition, which I feel is a system which I will fit very well in. Besides the excellent academics, and strong lacrosse program, Ursinus also has a beautiful campus, which is relatively close to my home, this was another one of my deciding factors.”

Outlook for your high school team:
“We lost a lot of talent and leadership from last year’s senior class. Nevertheless I feel that La Salle can be very competitive this year if we really work very hard, and stay focused.”

Other comments:
“First and foremost, I would like to thank my family for all of their support throughout the years. I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for their constant effort of chauffeuring me around, and supporting be at every event I participated in. Next, I would like to thank my Main Line LC coaches (German and Connor) who played a huge role in helping me develop as a player, and for all of their help with recruiting. In addition, I would like to thank the entire Sankey family (Rebel Elite), especially Coach Harry Sankey Sr. who really helped me develop as a player, and as a person. Coach Sankey pushed me to push myself, and I am very grateful for that. Also, I would like to thank my La Salle coaches (Resch and Leahy) for pushing me to work harder on the field, and in the classroom. Finally, I would like to give a big ‘thank you’ to Billy McKinney. Billy has helped me develop as a player since middle school, and I would definitely not be where I am today if it weren’t for his instructions, and guidance.”

Congrats to Adam and to the Bears! The Centennial is a very competitive conference but the young but experienced and talented Bears are in excellent position to ring the bell. Just Do It!
