Intended Major: Undecided

Looking back at 2013 and ahead to 2014: “The 2013 season for Avon Grove was filled with a lot of firsts. Who would have known that just 10 years ago Avon Grove wasn’t even a competitor in the Ches-Mont League? We came out with big wins against the Central League schools like Ridley and Conestoga. And for the first time in the school’s history we won the Ches-Mont title, District 1 Title, and made it to the semifinal game in states!

“Being one of the three starting freshmen, it was more than I had ever expected and with each game I became more excited to see where the path would lead us. My cousin, Anthony, did a great job on the face-offs which gave our offense a great advantage and I knew that if we focused and played as a unit we would be able to take it as far as we did. I’m excited to see where the next season will take us.”

Why I chose Penn State: “I’ve always loved Penn State and have proudly worn Blue & White since I was little. Academically and athletically, Penn State is a perfect fit for me. The campus is beautiful and after meeting with Coach (Jeff) Tambroni I was sure that Penn State is where I belong. His vision for the future of Penn State lacrosse is exactly the program I want to be part of.”

Other comments: “I’d like to thank my brother, David, for knowing that I would love lacrosse; and Coach Adam Mueller, who has coached me during my youth days playing AG Wildcats through Philly Fever and still today with Mesa Fresh. He has been my greatest mentor and has definitely taken my game to the next level!

“I’d like to thank my high school coach, Eric Jackson, and Coach Dave Sowers from Mesa Fresh and their staffs for their great coaching on the field.

“Thanks to My mom & dad for all their love and continued support; my three sisters for spending all those summer days at lacrosse tournaments; and my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins for being my biggest fans by attending all those games. Last but not least, I’d like to thank Coach Tambroni and the staff at Penn State for giving me this awesome opportunity.”

Other schools considered: Maryland, University of Penn, Johns Hopkins, Loyola, Georgetown
