Below is a list of Philly players and a coach that will compete this weekend in the MLL Championships at PPL Park.

Brett Schmidt, Defense, Charlotte Hounds
• Upper Dublin High School, Fort Washington, PA
• University of Maryland
• 2013 MLL All-Star

The Hounds’ Brett Schmidt played high school lacrosse at Upper Dublin where he was a two time captain, a 2007 US Lacrosse High School All-American, a three-year letter winner, and helped lead the Cardinals to a 12-6 record and their first-ever Suburban One League championship as a senior. Was an MLL All-Star this year.

Chris Schiller, Midfield, Charlotte Hounds

• Penn State University, State College, PA
• 2010 MLL All-Star

Chris Schiller of the Hounds, played lacrosse at Penn State from 1995-99. During his final year, he served as team captain, was named team MVP and received USILA Honorable Mention All-American honors. This season, Schiller has been a integral part of the Hound’s offense and a huge reason they find themselves playing in Championship Weekend.

Mason Poli, Defense, Charlotte Hounds
• Downingtown East High School, Downingtown, PA
• Bryant University
• Leads 2013 defenders in points (11), Leads 2013 defenders in goals (5).

Mason Poli of the Hounds was a 2009 graduate of Downingtown East High School, where he started on defense all four years for the Cougars. Poli led his team to three-straight 20-win seasons, including a 22-3 record as a sophomore and 21-4 record as a senior, and played a large part in Downingtown East’s four-consecutive Chest-Mont League championships, as well as the Cougars’ 2007 Pennsylvania state title. As a senior, he earned first team all-league, First Team All-EPSLA and first team all-state selections, garnering a second team all-league selection as a junior. Poli is a strong defender for the Hounds and is has had success on the offensive end. His league leading 11 points for a defender are a big reason they find themselves playing in Championship weekend.

Brendan Mundorf, Attack, Denver Outlaws
• Philadelphia Wings
• 2012 MLL MVP, 2013 MLL MVP Candidate

Brendan Mundorf is the reigning MLL MVP and a candidate to win again this year. He is the captain of his Denver Outlaws team and has led them to an undefeated season thus far. Mundorf also plays for the Philadelphia wings in the offseason.

Hamilton vs. Chesapeake, 4 p.m.
Matt Mackrides, Midfield, Chesapeake Bayhawks

• Malvern Prep, Malvern, PA
• Penn State University, State College, PA

Bayhawks midfielder Matt Mackrides attended Malvern Prep where he was named All-State three times, All-American twice, EPSLA Player of the Year in his senior season and led Malvern Prep to a State Title. He went on to play collegiately at Penn State University, where he was a four year starter and was recognized with three all-CAA first team recognitions.

Cameron and Roman Lao-Gosney, Midfield, Hamilton Nationals
• Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA

Twins Cameron and Roman Lao-Gosney played collegiately at Lehigh University, where they were co-captains. Cameron was a two time All-Patriot League honoree. Roman was named a 2012 Third Team All-American at Lehigh and named First Team All-Patriot League his senior season.

Tucker Durkin, Defense, Hamilton Nationals
• La Salle College High School, Wyndmoor, PA
• Johns Hopkins University
• 2 time 2013 Defensive Player of the Week (weeks 8 and 10)

Nationals’ defender Tucker Durkin was the Phillylacrosse.com Player of the Year in 2009 when he led La Salle to the first PIAA championship and second straight state title. He was an All-America selection and an Under Armour All-American as a senior, a two-time Pennsylvania All-State selection and a three-time All-Catholic pick. He later was a three-time All-American at Johns Hopkins and he finished fourth in the MLL Defensive Player of the Year voting as a rookie.

Kevin Cunningham, Attack, Hamilton Nationals
• Villanova University, Villanova, PA
• 2013 MLL All-Star, Second in the league in assists (22)

Kevin Cunningham played collegiately at Villanova University where he was a team captain, named the 2012 BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, and was a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team as a senior. Cunningham is in his first MLL Season and was selected to an All-Star Game.

League MVP Kevin Crowley, Midfield, Hamilton Nationals
• Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY
• Shipley School assistant coach
• Philadelphia Wings
• 2013 MLL All-Star, 2013 MLL All-Star Game MVP, Second in the league in goals (35), Second in the league in points (49)

Kevin Crowley of the Hamilton Nationals played collegiate lacrosse at Stony Brook University where he was honored with two First-Team All-American selections. As a professional, Crowley is in his third year and is having his best season yet. He was recently named the MLL Offensive Player of the Year and Thursday was named the MVP.

Brodie Merill, Defense, Hamilton Nationals
• Philadelphia Wings
• 2013 MLL Defensive Player of the Year Candidate, 6 time MLL Defensive Player of the Year

Merill has won six MLL Defensive Player of the Year Awards and is an integral part of the Hamilton National’s Defense and a major reason they have earned a spot in Championship Weekend. he is the Wings captain.

Drew Westervelt, Attack, Chesapeake Bayhawks
• Philadelphia Wings
• Week 6 MLL Offensive Player of the Week, 3rd in the league in goals (32), 6th in the league in points scored (42)

Drew Westervelt is a veteran in the MLL and his career high 32 goals this season have helped lead the Bayhawks to Championship Weekend. Westervelt is also a member of the Philadelphia Wings.

Jordan Hall, Midfield, Hamilton Nationals
• Philadelphia Wings
• University of Delaware

Jordan Hall is a midfielder for the Hamilton Nationals and scored an overtime goal to defeat the Chesapeake Bayhawks earlier this season. Hall played collegiately at the University of Delaware and also is a member of the Philadelphia Wings.

Tony Resch, Assistant Coach, Chesapeake Bayhawks
• Current La Salle College High Associate Head Coach
• Former Philadelphia Wings MVP and head coach
• Former Philadelphia Barrage head coach

Tony Resch is considered one of the best players and coaches to ever play the sport. He has served as an assistant, but more of a co-coach with Bill Leahy at La Salle. He was an assistant for Chesapeake last year when it won the MLL title.
