Showcases

The 2013 Girls Philly Showcase, by NXTsports, Saturday, November 9, Westtown School in West Chester, High School and Club Coaches can nominate their players by completing the Coach Nomination Form. Cost is $200. Click here to register.The Girls Philly Lacrosse Showcase provides a highly competitive environment for elite high school players aspiring to play college lacrosse. Each registrant is placed on a team, is guaranteed participation in three games over the course of the morning, and has a chance to be selected to play in one of three “Fab Forty” All-Star games in the afternoon. Additionally, every team will be coached by a top high school coach who, over the course of the morning, will focus on teaching advanced concepts and techniques to every player.

Club tryouts

Phantastix 2014 season tryouts, at Wilson Farm Park, 500 Lee Road, Wayne. Tryouts are held by graduation year:
2017 players and new 2016 players – August 25th at 4:30-6:30 p.m.
2019-2021 Players – September 8th at 4:30-6:30 p.m
2018 Players – September 15th at 4:30-6:30pm.
All girls interested in trying out for the 2014 Phantastix Club teams must complete and mail the Tryout registration form and waiver with the $20 fee to: CAC, Inc.,2045 Grantham Rd., Berwyn, PA 19312. Click here for registration and waiver forms.

Dynamite Summer 2014 Team Tryouts, Saturday, September 7th, 9-11 a.m. for 2017, 11am-1 p.m. for 2021, 1-3 p.m. for 2019; Saturday, September 14th, 9-11 a.m. for 2018, 11am-1 p.m. for 2020, 1-3 p.m. for 2016, 3-4 p.m. for 2015. Quaker City Girls Lacrosse 2014 season tryouts, at Harriton High School, 600 North Ithan Ave, Rosemont, PA 19010. Times and Dates are as follows: SUNDAY, September 8 and, if necessary, Sunday, September 15. 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM: 2020, 2021 Teams; 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM: 2018 and 2019 Teams; 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM: 2015, 2016 and 2017 Teams. Greg Cattrano’s Co-Ed Lacrosse Goalie Clinic, Friday, Aug 23, 4p-7p, The Shipley School’s Farm Fields
1315 Waverly Rd, Gladwyne. MLL and NCAA Goalie of the Year, Legendary Lacrosse Goalie, Greg Cattrano from Warrior Sports will be back in Philadelphia for a one day training session at The Shipley School. In our 13th year of training goalies at Shipley. All goalies receive a Warrior Void Lyte goalie head for attending the clinic. Space Limited for first 25 goalies. Cradle Lacrosse, NXTsports’ educational program for the area’s youngest lacrosse players, announces five different Fall 2013 programs around Greater Philadelphia. Cradle Lacrosse is designed to teach basic lacrosse skills to 4-8 year-old boys and girls in a fun, energizing and supportive environment. Cradle Lacrosse provides all the necessary equipment for the kids so there is nothing for parents to buy, and the curriculum is designed to teach the basics of lacrosse to youngsters in an age appropriate and fun way. All Cradle Lacrosse programs are co-ed, and Cradle features a co-ed coaching staff at each session. Cradle’s young and enthusiastic coaching staff is comprised strictly of former college lacrosse players, many of whom are current educators and also coach lacrosse at the high-school level. All participants at Cradle Sessions receive free shirts and additional Cradle gifts.
Cradle Lacrosse fall sessions will be held at:
• BucksMont Indoor Sports Center, Hatfield, PA. For boys and girls age 4-8. Saturdays from 1-2pm. Six-week session begins Saturday, September 21. (programs at BucksMont have traditionally sold out, register quickly)
• United Sports, Downingtown, PA. For boys and girls age 4-8. Sundays from 10-11am. Six-week session begins Sunday, September 22.
• Radnor Memorial Park, Radnor, PA. For boys and girls age 4-8. Sundays from 9:30-10:30am. Session begins Sunday, September 22nd.
• (NEW) Wyoming Seminary School, Kingston, PA. For boys and girls age 4-8. Sundays from 10-11am. Six-week session begins Saturday, September 21.

NXTsports and Cradle Lacrosse are also excited to announce the following special event
taking place this August: Philadelphia’s world-famous Please Touch Museum will hold its first-ever Cradle Lacrosse Day, on Sunday, August 3rd from 11am-1:30pm. The event is free and is part of the Museum’s Grow Games healthy lifestyle initiative, designed to introduce kids to the basics of sports while making positive choices about health.
At Cradle Lacrosse day, kids will learn the basics of lacrosse right on the Museum’s front lawn. All kids will also have an opportunity to meet and play lacrosse with Brett Manney, the Assistant Captain of the Philadelphia Wings.

Tournaments

Brandywine Classic Boys/Girls Lacrosse Tournament, October 26-27, 8:00-6:00PM both Saturday and Sunday; HS Games Saturday, Youth Games Sunday, Brandywine Polo Grounds, 232 Polo Road, Toughkenamon, PA 19374. As a first year event last year, the Brandywine Classic hosted 65 boys and girls teams from the surrounding region. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of four games, either Saturday or Sunday with the opportunity to earn the Brandywine Classic crown. How to Register: Girls Clubs can register online here with a credit card, or by sending a check. The Registration Fee for 1-3 teams is $1,200 per team. The 3rd Annual Lake-Lehman Fall Classic 7-on-7 girls lacrosse tournament, November 3rd at Lake-Lehman High School, Lehman PA,. hosted by Lake-Lehman Girls Lacrosse Booster Club, Sunday. Each team is guaranteed five 25-minute games. The cost is just $275 per team.
Lake-Lehman HS is located about two hours north of Philadelphia — just outside of Wilkes-Barre. Travel will be considered when assigning start times.
There are five (5) divisions: • Girls HS (9-12 grade) – A & B; • Girls Jr. High (6-9 grade) – A & B; • Girls Elementary (4-6 grade)

Black Bear Lacrosse camps, Black Bear’s dedicated staff of seasoned coaches take a personal interest in advancing the fastest game on two feet. In addition to its fundamentals program, which is designed to introduce the game to beginning and intermediate players, Black Bear camps provide advanced technique and training for experienced players. Black Bear campers enjoy daily scrimmages, position specific instruction, contests, and daily personal interaction with top teaching coaches. Players of all abilities and experience are welcome and will greatly benefit from our structured, time-tested program. Campers are grouped according to age and ability. We teach players the proper technique and fundamentals and develop their skills and lacrosse IQ.
